As she reached over me for another scoop of pickled chestnuts, I caught a whiff of a very sweet, but pleasantly mild cheese. However, when taken out of the context of cheese this smell goes from pleasant to unpleasant very quickly. I offered the Madam a scoop of mint jelly instead out of courtesy so it may cover her most peculiar body odor.
